Fingerless Gloves Crochet Pattern

Crochet Simple Fingerless Gloves

DIFFICULTY:
Easy

ITEMS NEEDED:
Worsted weight yarn
5.5 (I) Crochet Hook
Tapestry Needle
Scissors

INSTRUCTIONS:
Make 2.

FIRST
Ch 6.
Row 1: Skip first st, sc in remaining 4 chains. Ch 1, turn. (5 sc)
Rows 2-24: Working in BLO, sc in the next 4 sc. Ch 1, turn. (5 sc)
To join into circle: Fold your band in half so when you line up both ends, it follows the ridged pattern created by the SCBLOs. Sl st in top loops only across. (6 sl st)

NOW
Row 1: You will have one loop on your hook. Ch 1 (this does not count as your first sc). Make 24 sc into top of band, spacing them evenly apart. **I find it helpful to try to crochet into the same place every time, to give it more uniformity.**
DO NOT JOIN! The next part is made in a continuous circle. Make sure you mark the beginning of each row with your stitch marker to keep your spot!!
Row 2: Make one hdc into first sc of previous row and place your stitch marker (I use a bobby pin!) into that first hdc to mark the beginning of the row, then make one hdc in each sc around. (24 hdc)
Rows 3-9: Make one hdc in ea hdc around. (24 hdc)
Row 10: Make one hdc in next eleven (11) stitches, 1 HDC-DEC over next two stitches, then make one hdc in remaining 11 stitches. (23 hdc)
Row 11: Make one HDC-DEC in first two stitches of row, then make one hdc in ea remaining hdc around (22 hdc)
Rows 12-16: Make one hdc in ea hdc around (22 hdc)
Row 17: 2 hdc in first st, one hdc in next 4 hdc, 2 hdc in next st, one hdc in next 4 hdc, 2 hdc in next st, one hdc in next 4 hdc, 2 hdc in next st, then one hdc in remaining 6 hdcs. (26 hdc)
Rows 18-24: Make one hdc in ea hdc around. On last hdc, yarn over, insert your hook into next hdc, skip the next 8 hdc, and insert your hook again into the 9th st. Yarn over, and pull yarn through ALL the loops on your hook.
Row 25: Now put your stitch marker into the hdc-tog (hdc together) you just made. Make one hdc in ea hdc around. If you did this correctly, you should have 17 hdc. This is the first row of the finger part.
Rows 26-27: Make one hdc in ea hdc around. (17 hdc)
Slip stitch, pull tight. Fasten off. Weave in ends.
